Shade Tree Players is now offering paid production coordinator internships for former Shade Tree participants, which will enable them to gain experience not only in the artistic side of directing but also the arts management side of producing.  Interns learn the behind-the-scenes aspect of a Shade Tree Players production.  They learn and apply the organization, communication, and management skills needed to produce a successful show.  These young adults direct adult volunteers in various duties, organize orders for the cast, create master schedules for the show, act as liaisons between parents and directors, and handle a variety of situations that arise during the four weeks of production.

Our four interns this year are Brianna French (Peter Pan), Katharine Demke (May the Farce Be With You), Amanda Pitzer (Blather, Blarney, and Balderdash), and Sara Beaman (East of the Sun, West of the Moon).  We are excited that they have accepted the production coordinator internship positions.
